This research aims to address how finance impacts the adoption of technology among smallholder farmers while using smallholder maize farmers in Nigeria as case study. It uses integrated methods of systematic literature review, thematic analysis, factor analysis and structural equation modelling to understand the relationship between finance and technology adoption. The expected outcomes of the research include contribution on how to structure finance and put in place measure that will enhance smallholders' adoption of technology.
