Mr Stephen Appleton

Stephen is an analytical chemist with the Scientific Services team at St Lucia, assisting with the analysis of plant, soil and food samples for the School, UQ researchers and for external clients. He provides extensive expertise in Proximate Analysis (Crude fibre, Crude fat, Soluble carbohydrates, Antioxidant properties) and more generally nutritional and elemental analysis. He also manages the team’s Chemical Inventory, Risk Assessments and SOPs.
